FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1.  I accidentally put an end cap on both ends of a rod. How do I get one out?
Insert a flat head screwdriver betweeen the cap and the bar, twist slightly in a back and forth motion to loosen the end cap. Repeat on all sides of the bar and the cap should gradually work its way out of the bar.

2.  The door hooks aren't laying over the door right...they don't seem to be square to the base unit.
Be sure to push the hooks into the top of the base until it snaps twice, and the "lip" is even with the top of the base unit.

3.  I'm not sure my Shape & Dry can handle all the weight that I put on it. How can I be sure?
If mounting on a wall, be sure the center screw is on a wall stud. The auger anchors are for the two holes on either side at the top of the base. It may be necessary for you to drill a pilot hole before inserting the anchors.

If the bars sag excessively when the damp garment is placed on the slide connector, it may need to have more of the water removed. This can be accomplished by running the spin cycle again or by hand wringing to remove most of the water.

4.  Which types of garments achieve the best results on the Shape & Dry?
100% cotton fabrics. The more cotton in the fabric, the better the results. As far as knits vs. weaves, it depends on the weight of the fabric.

5.  Which way do the collar stays point?
Toward the center, away from the shirt so that the collar is properly supported.

6.  What is the proper way to block my garment?
Outward and down. On the sleeves, pull out toward the cuff and then down from the underside of the sleeve, using your other hand to support the bar. Round the collar after making sure collar stays are in place. For button-down shirts, block by running your fingers down the button hole facing and the button facing. Then, block the front part of the shirt by gently pulling in a down and out motion. It is important to block everywhere on the garment.

7.  I cannot find a place in my home to conveniently hang my Shape & Dry. Can I return it?
We do have a 30 day money back guarantee. If you cannot find a place in your home, we will take it back; however, we would make a few suggestions. There may be a place in your garage that you could mount it on the wall, or hang it on an inside door of a bedroom closet. The door is open while the dryer is in use and the unit stores inside the closed door when laundry is finished.

8.  How do I remove the door hooks?

Lay the backboard face down on a flat surface such as a table or stool. Insert a small screwdriver through the holes on the back of the backboard. Press firmly to release the flap, and pull out the door hook.
